White dresses are a wonderful addition to your spring and summer wardrobe. Unlike white jeans which can be worn before Memorial Day and long after Labor Day your white dresses will not be worn for an extended period of time. We know much of this depends on where you live but in the Midwest when it starts to get chilly the white dress just doesn’t seem to work! The white dress is so easy to style…it is a blank canvas for just about every accessory! If you are a neutral girl this look is amazing as does a white dress with a pop of color! White dresses can be worn to any event..the beach, a cocktail party, night out on the town or just about everywhere….EXCEPT…wedding and bridal showers! Hahaha!
Make sure when you are purchasing a white dress that the fabric is thick enough that bra and panty lines are not visible. On a really hot day there is nothing better then a lightweight and flowy linen dress…just so comfortable!

Why do we like a knee length white dress? They are the perfect length for activities like lunch with friends or simply running errands. This length of dress works even when it is chilly…simply add a jacket and you are set to go. A knee length dress does have the tendency to make you look taller! This length of dress is universally flattering. Whether you are super tall or shorter you will look amazing! It is also a matter of choice…what do you feel more comfortable in?
Midi Length White Dresses
Why do we like midi length dresses? They can be dressed up with a belt and beautiful jewelry for date night or attending a bridal or wedding shower. A midi dress length is adaptable for a casual look or can be amped up for a more dressier look. If you are wearing a midi length dress your footwear options increase. For instance, since you can see the shoes on a midi dress unlike a maxi…you can show off your beautiful strappy sandals, wedges or espadrilles. Keep in mind you want to have a nice balance of white with accents of neutrals, black or a pop of color otherwise it may make you look too white!
We love a dress that works in more seasons than one…this dress would look so cute in the spring and early fall paired with a jean jacket and some booties.

The options to style a white dress are endless! A neutral look is timeless but in the summer throw in some color to brighten up your day. You will be back to fall colors sooner than you may like!

Bev loved this dress because it is light and airy and works so well in the summer heat. Bev feels this dress would be a great sightseeing dress when you are on vacation. If it gets a little chilly throw on a scarf and jean jacket…..air conditioning in restaurants always requires some sort of wrap!
Val’s inspo board incorporates navy which is a color that looks wonderful with white. Val is especially loving the gingham espadrilles which would look so cute with white denim in the summer! This dress would be so comfortable..it is a convertible dress so you can wear it without the straps! This dress would also be a great option when it starts getting really warm. If you are doing quite a bit of walking a flat sandal would be another option.
