Cabana Life-Sun Protection and Fashion All In One

Cabana Life’s mission is to create sun protection that makes you feel and look your best. What does this really mean? Cabana Life is a clothing brand that is known for it’s high quality fabrics, classic and stylish design and each piece has a UPF protection of 50+. When a melanoma diagnosis at the age of 26 happened to one of the founders, she realized the option for stylish clothing that offers skin protection was almost nonexistent. Cabana Life was born. We are thrilled to be representing this wonderful brand for it’s thoughtful use of fabrics that protect everyone.

We discovered this brand about three years ago when Bev purchased the Navy Stripe Zipper Rashguard for paddleboarding and Val purchased this Off the Shoulder Dress for summer days. Each of these pieces lived up to our expectations and more.

The Eyelet Collection

The day these photos were taken in Michigan, the temperature was hovering around the 90 degree mark with high humidity- Bad Hair Day! However, we stayed nice and cool in these great dresses. They are soft, airy and flowy with a liner that provides UPF50+ protection. The eyelet lace fabric is 100% cotton and soft to the touch- not the scratchy fabric you sometimes find. Who doesn’t love to throw on a dress in the morning and wear it all day, then change the accessories and wear it to dinner. Taking this dress on vacation- Yes Please!

Sizing

Let’s talk about the size. Val’s dress, The White Eyelet Halter Dress is wearing an extra-small and feels it runs TTS. She is 5’5″ and has small shoulders. Bev’s dress is the Navy Eyelet Sleeveless Dress in a Small and it too runs TTS. The smocked waistband fits very comfortably, even on people whose body type is rectangular. Bev is 5’7″ and the dress length is just above the knee.

Favorite Accessories

Favorite accessories for both- Straw or Raffia clutches or totes. Bev has stacked gold bracelets, statement raffia earrings and caramel espadrille wedges. Val added turquoise jewelry with silver accents and a nude linen wedge. Doesn’t turquoise always looks great with white dresses? Luggage tan, nude and white shoes would also work with both of these dresses. Throw on a jean jacket in white or blue if it’s chilly, grab your red, white or tan purse and you are ready for anything.
