Cozy Fall Jackets And Coats

Fall is here and having a few different styles of Jackets and Coats are a must if you want to feel cozy and put together. We ask a lot of our outerwear- provide warmth, have a significant style quotient, go with a majority of our wardrobe and be functional. Let’s be realistic- we need a few Jackets and Coats to get through the Fall and into Winter. Today we are sharing our round up of Fall Jackets and Coats that are cozy, fashionable and perfect for many wardrobes.

Cozy Fall Jackets and Coats

We started this post picking out our favorites and you can imagine how many wonderful items we found. To make it easier for you to focus on what you may need to add to your Fall Closet, we have created three categories. Sherpa Material, Puffer and Quilted design. Many of the selections we found are what we would wear now when the weather starts to change. They are lightweight, some are water resistant and some can be compressed into a packable pouch- the perfect piece to bring on vacation. Have fun looking through our choices.

Sherpa Design

We wanted to show the different profiles of jackets and coats designed with this amazing fabric that is so cozy and lightweight. The JCrew Teddy Sherpa Jacket comes in two colors- a Dusty Ivory and a deep Navy. We want both!! The Velvet Albany Faux Suede Sherpa Jacket is a beautiful shade of olive. The Apparis Anouk Double Breasted Faux Shearling Coat and the Banana Republic Cora Vest are an elevated look and price point for this fabric. Both could be styled with any winter white outfit. The Varley Ardley Boucle Jacket has a zip up spread collar-creating a turtleneck look. In the photo slider below we added the Athleta Tugga Jacket-comes in 4 colors and Anthropologie’s Long Teddy Sherpa Jacket comes in a rich camel color with a detachable hood. Puffer design Jackets and Coats have the distinction of being very lightweight while keeping you very warm. Compared to wool or leather, a puffer design has the unique combination of being warm and lightweight with out being bulky. They can be water resistant, wind resistant and many can be folded into a small packable pouch. The Sam Edelman Stretch Puffer Coat has a sleeker look without the traditional baffles sewn into the coat. This coat also has a longer profile, zip closure, faux leather trim on the pockets and the zipper with a buttoned stand up collar. The Sam Edelman Hooded Puffer Coat has a traditional puffer design with an attached hood. This coat comes in a beautiful copper color and black.

The Lauren Ralph Lauren Hooded Down Puffer Jacket has a subtle metalic sheen and comes in Olive and Dark Navy. The Save the Duck Elsie Puffer Jacket comes in four great colors. In the photo slider below we have added the Alala Verbier Puffer Coat- so great. The Patagonia Nano Puff Insulated Jacket is the perfect layering piece. Bev was just on an outdoor vacation- and many of her friends had this exact piece that worked well under vests, other sweaters and under rain coats. She is ordering one!!! Quilted Design

Quilted Design Jackets and Coats are another lightweight and warm choice for your Fall closet. We love the iconic Barbour and know that this style is chic, timeless and classic. Because some Quilted Jackets are so lightweight, they are the perfect layering piece. To update this look, try some different colors in this style of jacket. For an evening look, check out this beautiful black satin coat by Marella– it would elevate any look. The two DKNY Jackets –The Sleeping Bag Coat-has a large collar that can actually become a hood and the Quilted Short Jacket has snap closures, spread collar and snap detail up the sleeves.
