It’s October! How did this happen? The weather has been really nice here in Michigan but it is starting to look and feel more like fall everyday. We love when the leaves change, the air gets crisp and chilly and sweater weather arrives.

Halloween is such an exciting time for us as we both have grandchildren and picking out their Halloween outfits is always an epic event! Val hosts a Halloween party every year for the kids and this year is no exception. The kids come in their Halloween outfits or Halloween PJ’s and we decorate cookies and cupcakes. Needless to say the kitchen is a mess afterwards with colored decorating sugar and frosting! A pizza party rounds out the night and the kids get so excited seeing the table set in Hester & Cook placemats and runner.
