Eclectic Home and Urbanum…Two Boutiques You Don’t Want to Miss!

Val’s sister- in- law Linda has been telling her for quite a while that she should visit Eclectic Home in Clawson, Michigan and Urbanum in Detroit, Michigan. Linda, being the go getter she is, arranged a shopping day with us to visit both the stores last Saturday. We were so excited and couldn’t wait to see what all the hoopla was about. SHE WASN’T KIDDING…we had so much fun and discovered two places to purchase gifts and also unique accessories for the home. We took many pictures so you can see!
Eclectic Home
If you are looking for pillows check out the Eclectic Home…they have pillows that are high quality but yet economical. They also will make custom pillows to fit the size and style you are looking for.
The two sisters who founded Eclectic Home have a long history of working together, creating beautiful finds for the home, and refurbishing vintage items. You can feel the love and thoughtfulness that have gone into creating this space. If you live in the area plan a visit and you will certainly agree it was worth it!
Urbanum
Visiting Urbanum in Detroit was another experience we think you would all enjoy. Urbanum is in the heart of the New Center area of the city of Detroit. Easy to get to and there is a parking lot in the back of the building. Brigid is the owner of Urbanum who has always loved home design since she was a little girl. Brigid wanted to design a guest room in her home in Detroit and was frustrated that she had to go to the suburbs to find the home goods she needed. This was the inspiration to open a store of her own within the city limits of Detroit.
We both brought home many great finds! It was a fun afternoon and we just wanted to share with all of you! Let us know if you have found any great boutiques in the area that you frequent!
