Flattering Jeans For The Spring
- Fashion
- February 8, 2023
With Spring right around the corner, grabbing a new pair of flattering jeans is a great way to create some great go to looks. Are you confused with what jean profile to try- boot cut jeans, wide leg jeans, ankle flare jeans, trouser jeans, ankle jeans, ankle fray, high waist, light wash- it’s like the detergent aisle. There are so many out there and the best part- there is a flattering pair for each of us because of this. Updating your denim is one way to update your look for the season.
We tried on quite a few pairs for research on this post. When we say quite a few pair we really mean it!! Val feels that shopping for a new pair of jeans is like shopping for a bathing suit! It takes time to find the right fit that is flattering for your figure and hopefully camouflage those parts of your figure you are not totally happy with.
We both have completely different figures which makes shopping together so fun because some of the denim Bev looks great in looks ridiculous on Val. Here are our differences…Bev is 5’6 and Val is 5’5…doesn’t seem like much of a difference but it is. Bev’s legs are really long and Val’s not so much. Val’s waist is smaller and she has a more curvier frame where Bev has a more rectangular shape with not so much waist. We hope this helps when you are looking through our choices in determining what denim would be the best for you!
As always, click on the bolded or highlighted words or the photos at the end of the post to be linked to that item for more information.
Bev’s Denim Choices
Bev’s choices accent her long legs…she also needs the length in her jeans otherwise she would have a closet full of cropped jeans.
Val’s Jeans
Val really liked the wash on the jeans she purchased…especially for the spring and summer months approaching. Dark blue denim is still her fav but nothing better than updating your denim wardrobe for the seasons ahead.
One of our friends who is a stylist has said if there is one item in your wardrobe that you update it should be denim. Of course….a new top or two wouldn’t be so bad!!
What is your favorite jean in your closet?
