Just when we thought spring had arrived Mother Nature pulls a fast one and sends in the cold air and rain. It is not going to stop raining all day and well into the night. It appears this will be what we have to look forward to all week!

We went shopping last week and noticed so many adorable maxi dresses. What a classic staple they are in our spring and summer wardrobes. The are versatile too! If you are attending a dressier occasion like a shower or a ladies luncheon the maxi dress would be a perfect choice. On the other hand they are so comfortable you could certainly wear them for more casual outings. We love the loose and flowing fabric especially when it starts to warm up. Their loose and fluid design will allow for better airflow and keep you cool on even the hottest day!

We really feel that the maxi dress works for many different body types and many of the styles are available in petite. You will always look chic and fashionable and getting ready is easy..one and done!

What we like the most about maxi dresses is their seasonal adaptibility. You literally could wear the maxi dress from one season to another by layering and changing out your footwear.

This Farm Rio Dress is a knockout! It would be a dress you most certainly could wear to a wedding or an evening event in the summer. The colors simply make you happy!! We paired the dress with sandals from Tory Burch and a clutch from Tuckernuck that we feel could be a bag that will compliment so many of your summer outfits. Farm Rio has some of most colorful and interesting dresses this summer! We love this maxi dress for it’s soft muted colors which remind us of a summer evening! The Stuart Weitzman sandals we chose are on the pricier side but they are a sandal that will be in your closet for years to come and they pair well with so many summer outfits!

Maxi dresses are nice to wear into the fall months which makes them a versatile dress to have in your wardrobe. You can layer using jackets, cardigans or a plain white button down shirt that you can tie at the waist depending on the dress when the weather starts cooling down.
