August is here which is so unbelievable….the summer is going by way too fast. Although fall is fast approaching we still have many warm days ahead and we all should be enjoying them before they slip away. We are still wearing our light and bright colors, those gorgeous pink and purple shades but we took a minute to check out what nail colors are available since we are getting just a little bored wearing the same nail polish over and over. We definitely have found some super cute colors that will take you through the remainder of the summer. Whether you do your own nails or you visit your favorite nail tech having a color in mind for your manicure or pedicure is helpful.

Essie

Essie has been in the nail business for 35 years! Essie’s color collections change season to season and nail professionals look to Essie for nail color trends. Some of the colors we all love like Baby’s Breath and Blanc have remained in the collection to this very day.

Some fun facts! In 1989 the Queen Of Englands hairdresser sent Essie a letter requesting “Ballet Slippers” as it was the only color Her Majesty would wear.

In 2015 Essie welcomed fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff as the nail brands Global Color Designer.

Some of our favorite summer nail shades from Essie this season are perfect for manicures or pedicures. We tend to utilize more color on our toes because you cannot beat a clean look on your fingernails and it tends to not clash with whatever clothing you are wearing! A French manicure was so popular years ago and we are starting to see more of this nail style lately! We still think it looks so pretty and may be a summer nail trend that is resurfacing! Truly it is a classic nail design that we have never stopped admiring!

Deborah Lippman was a celebrity manicurist for fashion magazines such as Elle and Vogue. Deborah Lippmann’s career in high fashion as being the manicurist to many movies stars and celebrity’s is notable. She felt that many interesting nail colors and products were missing from the market at the time and set out to develop her wonderful line of products. We have been so impressed by her eye catching colors and wear her nail polish all summer long!
