Nine Stylish Beach Totes

Now that summer is in full swing, a trip to the pool or beach is definitely a possibility. A tote is the perfect way to carry all the accessories needed for your moment in the sun. Actually a tote can be used anytime, but totes and the beach are a natural. How else can you carry your sunglasses case, phone, sunscreen, water bottle, towel, computer- you get it!

Nine Stylish Beach Totes

Totes come in a variety of materials and cost. We have included nine of our favorites but there were so many to choose from. If the beach is your destination, a tote that is made of a durable product that is washable may be the best choice. Rinsing sand and sunscreen off without damaging the material is the best. The straw and raffia totes are a great choice for pool side. Or if you are on the beach, keep these on a towel or elevated off of the sand to maintain it.

This Rebecca Minkoff Utility Mesh Tote is perfect for the beach. It has a side pocket for hands on essentials and can carry many beach accessories.

Large Plastic Tote

This J Crew Ixoq Large Plastic Tote also is a great choice for the beach. It is durable, sturdy and easy to clean. Also it comes in two colors. Indigo- a great shade of blue and Multi Yellow- varying shades of yellow.

Woven Faux Leather Tote

This Woven Faux Leather Tote from Anthropologie includes a removable pouch- great for essentials.

Ruffle Raffia Tote

This Mark & Graham Ruffle Raffia Tote is a very roomy tote with perfect length vegan leather shoulder handle. It comes in two colors- navy and white.

Straw Tote

This Vince Camuto Saly Straw Tote is a very structured tote for stability. The interior lining, interior pocket and on snap closure are added details. The herringbone pattern is striking.

Bria Straw Tote

This b2b Los Angeles Bria Straw Tote has a flat base for stability, roomy and has an interior snap closure. It is currently offered in three colors- two are on sale. We love the black and beige and it isn’t on sale. Sorry.

Woven Straw Tote

This AllSaints Allington Straw Tote has a roomy interior, removable tethered zippered pouch, wide base for stability and a snap closure. This comes in three colors- very tough decision.

Woven Abaca Straw Tote

This Kayu Merritt Tote from J Crew has a wide open top, flat base and cotton handles. Such a cute tote and comes in three colors. As we write this, this tote is on sale, however, it may not be for long!!

Styling Your Totes With Accessories

We have some styling ideas that we would like to share with you. First of all, one of the first things we pop into our beach totes is sunscreen. Bev uses Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen and Val uses Clarins UV Plus Sunscreen. Another favorite of both is the Colorscience Sunforgettable Total Protection Brush On Powder. This is a great product- it’s sunscreen in a loose mineral powder that has the brush right there. Great to have in your car and golf bag too!.

Sunglasses- we included some that we personally own or would want to. Honorable mention is the Goodr Brand,-a wonderful pair for sports- golf in particular and a very reasonable price. Other favorites are Warby Parker, Quay and Krewe.

Beach Towels- Always a must and some of the best ones we found were at Frontgate and Pottery Barn. The Turkish beach towels with the fringed edge can be wrapped around your waist as a pareo in a pinch.
