Our Favorite Fall Jeans
- Fall Fashion
- August 27, 2024
We believe everyone like to wear jeans and that includes us. There are so many different types of jeans, different lengths and washes too! Finding a jean you like with all the different options available to us is dizzying! Fall is around the corner and you may be thinking you want to add to your jean collection.
The one fact that remains true is even though there are many jean options available to us it really does not matter. What matters is how that particular jean style looks on you! Do those jeans make you feel confident and comfortable? For instance, Bev looks great in the trouser jean because her legs are long. Val has tried on many pairs of trouser jeans and they just do no look good on her. Val has shorter legs!
We are going to feature some of our favorite jeans for the fall in this post and will be adding to this post as new styles come on the market.

Our Favorite Fall Jeans
Different Types Of Jeans
Bootcut – These boots have a slight flare at the hem and look pretty good with boots!
Wide Leg – This jean is wide at the bottom which adds volume to the bottom of the jean. They also look great if cropped as they will show off your boots this fall.
Boyfriend / Relaxed – They are super comfortable with an almost broke in feel but they can be dressed up too when you add a pretty flat or even a heel.
Straight – A clean line jean that is straight from your thigh to the hem. Can easily be dressed up or down!
Flare
Different Lengths Of Jeans
Cropped – These jeans stop about 1-2″ above your ankle. Cropped jeans are some of our favorites because they will show off those new ankle booties you just bought!
Ankle – The hem falls right at your ankle
Regular – The inseam is usually 30-31″ and hits at your ankle or a little longer.
Tall – The inseam is 32″ and longer. Works well on tall women or women that like to wear a much taller heel or wedge for a elongated look.
Jeans come in many washes too to make things even more confusing! Washes anywhere from white and ivory, light, medium or dark washes or various colors like olive!
Our Jean Selections
Bootcut Jeans
Joe’s Hi Honey High Waisted Bootcut Jeans
Bev owns these jeans and says they are truly one of her favorite jeans in her wardrobe. The jeans hug your curves in all the right places! Bev wears a size 28 for reference. Unlike many jeans the Hi Honey Bootcut jeans look great dressed up.
Kut From The Kloth Natalie Bootcut Jean
This jean is under $100! Kut from the Kloth jeans fit really well and this jean is no exception. We love the wash on this jean too. These jeans are so figure flattering! The Natalie are designed with their Fab AB front pocket technique that is flattening and provides a slenderizing silhouette. These jeans are true to size.
If you are searching for the a new fall bootie this season take a look at our post “Twelve Favorite Fall Booties” for some inspiration.
Wide Leg Jeans
Favorite Daughter Mischa Wide Leg Jean
This jean runs just a little big so you may want to size down. We love the super dark wash and the high waist on these jeans. There is a bit of stretch too which is a good thing! The stretch will make the jean comfortable to wear.
These jeans will show off your fall booties beautifully! We like the wash, raw edges and cute patch pockets on the front.
Frame Le Slim Palazzo Wide Leg Jean
This jean has a wide leg and a beautiful streamlined look. Features five pockets and a stretchy denim fabric. True to size!
Boyfriend Jean
7 For All Mankind Josefina Boyfriend Jean
Val owns this great jean. Best description of the denim is a broken twill which makes it comfy and soft. There is some stretch and the company describes the denim as a medium blue wash with hand sanding and whiskering. The best way to say it the jean is sports a wonderful soft and pretty denim that we think you will love. Purchase these jeans in the size you normally would order.
We tried this jean on and it is a classic jean that you can wear with so many of your fall sweaters and blouses. The Ex-Boyfriend jean has almost a vintage appearance. It runs slightly large so you may want to size down or do what we do when we aren’t sure….order the two sizes you think you may be and return the one that doesn’t fit. Jeans can certainly be tricky!
Straight Jeans
Mother The Hiker Hover Straight Leg Jean
The Mother Hiker Hover jean has a lived in look with a bit of whispering. We really like the wash and the simple, clean lined look. They run true to size.
Thie jean is high rise with a relaxed fit through the hips and thighs. They definitely have some stretch too.
Black Jeans
This jean is stepping a little out of the box for us but we think it has great styling possibilities. It is a cotton jean and is non stretch with a vintage feel. The cuff is fixed at the bottom of the pant. You want to consider a more fitted top to wear with this jean. Fits true to size.
Frame Le Jane High Waisted Jean
We really like the dark wash on this jean for the fall. The cropped and relaxed fit makes it one of those jeans to accent your shoes and booties. Fits true to size.
Ivory Jeans
Ann Taylor Frayed Wide Leg Jean
Val just purchased these jeans and loves the wide leg and frayed hem. Ivory jeans are great to wear in the fall. They blend well with all the beautiful and natural fall hues we see in tops and sweaters in the fall. Val normally wears a size 4 in jeans but did size down to a 2 for this particular jean.
It is so hot in Michigan as we write this post we can hardly imagine fall! We have to admit we are excited for sweater weather though!
Thank you for reading! We appreciate you!
