Our Favorite Jeans For 2026

With Spring right around the corner, grabbing a new pair of flattering jeans is a great way to create some great go to looks. Are you confused with what jean profile to try- wide leg jeans, barrel jeans, straight leg jeans or relaxed? It’s like the detergent aisle isn’t it? There are so many out there and the best part- there is a flattering pair for each of us because of this. Updating your denim is one way to update your look for the season.

We tried on quite a few pairs for research on this post. When we say quite a few pair we really mean it!! Val feels that shopping for a new pair of jeans is like shopping for a bathing suit! It takes time to find the right fit that is flattering for your figure and hopefully camouflage those parts of your figure you are not totally happy with.

We both have completely different figures which makes shopping together so fun. Some of the denim Bev looks great in is not flattering on Val. Here are our differences…Bev is 5’6 and Val is 5’5…doesn’t seem like much of a difference but it is. Bev’s legs are really long and Val’s not so much. Val’s waist is smaller and she has a more curvier frame where Bev has a more rectangular shape with more waist. We hope this helps when you are looking through our choices in determining what denim would be the best for you!

Bev’s Favorite Jean Silhouettes

Banana Republic Icon Classic Wide Leg Jean

This Banana Republic Wide Leg Jean looks great on Bev. She ordered them in a 34 Long to accommodate the length of her legs. A similar jean would be the Paige Anessa Jean. This jean is also available in a 31 or 33 inch inseam if you have long legs! The Anessa Jean fits most body types and they are super flattering!

Joes Jeans Hi Honey Jean

The Joes Jeans Hi Honey Jean is a high rise and slim fit through the waist, hip and thigh with a full-length bootcut and a higher back rise and extra room in the seat. This jean is very leg lengthening and comes in a variety of washes and colors.

Soft Surroundings Ultimate Pull On Jeans

This jean from Soft Surroundings comes in a variety of colors and they are super comfortable. This jean features a comfy pull-on waist and premium four-way stretch denim. This slim-leg, no-pocket design is the perfect pair for your tall boots, tunics, and sweaters.

Val’s Favorite Jean Silhouettes

DL 1961 Ecru Jean

The DL 1961 Jean is a four way stretch jean and essentially a wide leg ankle length jean. The denim fabric is so nice as it is thick enough to hide imperfections (you know what we mean)! Ecru jeans are the perfect shade of jean to wear all seasons!

Paige Mason Ankle Straight Leg Jean

Love the fit on this Paige Jean! It hits right at the ankle without the need for hemming! For reference Val is 5’5 and is wearing a size 27 jean. It is a dark wash, mid rise jean that has some stretch. This jean looks so good with a pump or espadrille.

Paige Arellia Skimmer Jean

We love the dark wash on this jean! The Paige Arellia Jean is a barrel jean that is designed to just touch the top of your foot. Val will more than likely hem this jean as it is a bit too long. This is a high rise jean that is very comfortable and can be styled many ways.

Rag & Bone Miramar Jean

We have longed wondered about the Rag & Bone Miramar Jean and decided to purchase them and try them out. We are so happy we did as they are a wonderful travel pant. Think of this jean as the combination of a jean and a sweat pant. They are made of cotton and look like denim with a stripe down the sides. They are available in many different stripe colors too. A must have!!!
