To say we love skincare products is putting it mildly! The variety of skincare available today is over whelming. It is so confusing and the price point is all over the board. Trust us…we get confused too!!! We decided to write this post to hopefully make purchasing skin care products a little easier and less confusing. Our findings are not based on science…just on what works for us at our age.
Val’s Skincare Routine
I (Val) have to admit that I really enjoy trying multiple products! Lately I have stuck with this regimen because I feel it is working! I have been told by aestheticians that is good to sometimes try new products on your skin. The skin becomes acclimated to the current routine and it is important to switch it up a bit! The SkinBetter Science products are new for me and I am loving them. They improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and address issues with uneven tone and texture. The products are dermatology tested, paragon free, fragrance and dye free and cruelty free.
I have used the Neocutis Lumiere Eye Cream for quite some time and will continue as it is one of my favorite daytime eye creams I have used in awhile.
Colleen Rothschild Radiant Balm Cleanser …well..probably own stock in the company! I have been using this cleanser for years! Did you know you can give yourself a mini facial using the muslin cloth included with your cleansing balm?? So yummy!
Sisley-Paris Black Rose products are another line I have incorporated when I am feeling really dry in our Midwest winters! The Black Rose Precious Oil and the Black Rose Mask will really help your skin feel hydrated! Apply the mask in the evening and enjoy! Love the scent!
Bev’s Skincare Routine
Bev’s SkinCare Routine-
I can’t believe I forgot to add the Colleen Rothschild Radiant Cleansing Balm. This is such a great product for cleansing your face. I’ve started using La Roche-Posay Lipkar triple repair moisturizing cream as an out of the shower lotion- other faves for this are the Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream and the L’Occitane Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream. I’ve used the Neutrogena Hydro Boost with hyaluronic acid and Neutrogena Retinol pro+ for daily use. However, I’ve also used Alastin, Juice Beauty and Sunday Riley for the daily routine- I like to switch things up. Supergoop Every. Single. Face is a sunscreen that I love. PCA skin pigment pro gel is one of the best products I’ve used for dark spot correction. I also love the Tatcha Kissu Lip Mask for night.
Don’t forget Ulta Beauty and Sephora are having Sale Events going on. January 1-17 at Sephora and January 1-21 at Ulta. They are offering special pricing for specific products on specific days.
We hope this has been helpful! Let us know if you use a product that works for you??
