For warm climate vacations they are non negotiable…we must have a variety of clutches and totes to either bring to the beach, shopping (code word for research) or beautiful clutches for the evening.

The natural element of straw, raffia, and wicker gives your summer outfits a relaxed and casual look. These bags look so good with maxi and midi summer dresses, skorts, skirts and denim. Many of them also offer embellishments like pearls, leather accents and shells which add to their appeal.

What is the Difference Between Straw, Raffia and Wicker

Straw

Straw bags are constructed of wheat and grass stalks which makes any bag made of straw more rigid. They are lightweight and can be more easilly damaged. The bags tend to be more affordable too. You will find straw totes, beach bags and clutches.

Raffia

Raffia comes from palm leaves. These bags are more flexible and soft and tend to be higher priced. The may be crocheted or woven. You willl find raffia used in constructing a variety of bags too.

Wicker

These bags are made from rattan, cane or bamboo. Wicker refers to the weaving method used to construct a bag. Wicker is stiffer, stronger and more structured than raffia and straw.
