Everyone who hosts on Thanksgiving knows the amount of time spent in the kitchen increases the possibility of a wardrobe incident. People, we are dealing with gravy and red wine for goodness sake! You will also be on your feet for 24 hours-just saying.

We find that wearing the right outfit and being comfortable makes the day fun filled and memorable. There are many clothing choices that are both stylish and comfortable. Hostess Outfit Ideas

We picked out these outfit and shoe options for Thanksgiving celebrations that range from casual to elevated. Some of these, we have worn a version of and know that they are a good fit for Thanksgiving. Because many of us have grands now, you know you’ll be playing with them- sitting on the floor at their level. You need to move unrestricted throughout the day.

We found this Faherty brand Legend Sweater Dress a few weeks ago and both of us quickly bought it. Val has the Red and Black Plaid that is perfect for now and into Christmas Holidays. It is a comfortable dress that is extremely versatile. You can style it with a belt and boots, with opaques, without a belt and even as a tunic with leggings and a belt if you think it’s too short. Our favorite opaques are the Ultimate Opaque Matte Tights by Commando- amazing! Okay, back to the dress- the fabric is light-weight and soft. This Modern Citizen Lenese Front-Wrap Midi Dress is such a classic style. The fabric is comfortable and wool free.
