How To Prepare Your Skin Before The Appointment

You should always exfoliate your entire body with a scrub before. Make sure this is not oil based. Avoid lotions or deodorant- skin can turn green if you use this before. If you are still trying products out and don’t have a favorite, just stick to a few basics.”

What To Expect When During Your Spray Tan Appointment

When you arrive at your appointment, you will be taken to the spray tanning room. This has a dressing area- WARNING– to avoid tan lines….you must remove your clothes. If you choose to wear a panty, they have disposable ones there or wear a dark colored one from home. The spray tan session then begins. Your clothing that you wear to your appointment should be loose fitting and dark. Also, consider your activity that day because showering may not take place until the next day. At the Color Box, the solution they use is great for your face as well as your body. You can customize your tan by having certain areas lighter or darker, or just opt for upper or lower body.

How To Care For Your Tan Afterwards

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize- but not an oil-based moisturizer. Val suggests that as the tan starts to fade, use a self tanner at home to maintain your tan as long as possible. Utilizing a product by the same company as the self tanner, is your best option.
