Cougar Shoes is a company that we have mentioned before highlighting their wonderful winter boots and stylish summer shoes and sandals. This year they are celebrating their 75th year anniversary! They created their iconic “Pillow Boot” in 1976 to keep feet warm, dry and comfortable during the long Canadian winters. The Midwest, Northeast and Northwest experience similar weather so it just makes sense that we would check out Cougar Boots! They are always waterproof, comfortable, fashionable and many of the boots have PrimaLoft Gold Insulation that gives a temperature rating of -11F – the perfect fit for us-pun intended. Today’s post is a round up of our favorite Cougar Boots for Winter.
Cougar Shoes started in Canada and continues today as a family owned company that has a US presence in department stores- Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales, Dillards and local boutiques. They have a great website- click here to go there. They created their iconic “Pillow Boot” in 1976 and it’s still in production today, however, we had to share our other favorites with you. Iggy Rubber Rain Boot
The Iggy Rain Boot is perfect for the time of year when rain happens. It is lightweight, waterproof and has a knit lining. The Oyster color is a cream with a carmel ribbon contrast against the lug sole. The White color has an ice blue ribbon contrast against the black lug sole. Style with denim!

Firenze Chelsea Rain Boot
The Firenze Chelsea Rain Boot is an iconic look. It is lightweight, waterproof and has knit lining. You will have a hard time deciding on a color as there are many. Our favorites are the Black, Taupe and White.

The Ignite Rubber Waterproof Boot is temperature rated to 14F. The faux shearling collar and lining provides the warmth and comfort. Favorite colors are Black Oxblood and Green- there are other colors as well.

The Villa is Mid Height with a side zipper on the inside. The wedge sole gives it a slightly elevated look and the PrimaLoft Gold insulation gives it a temperature rating of -11F. We love the Cream and Almond colors.
