Cozy Sweaters Every Woman Needs For Cooler Weather

It is still toasty warm here in Michigan and will be for quite a while. Once September and October arrive the days are warm but there is a cool down as evening approaches.

Sweaters are really the perfect transitional layer that can be paired with shirts and jackets. Layering is the key to staying warm and toasty! Think about a sweater that is not too heavy, but still keeps you warm. You also need to consider breathability so you do not get too warm and defeat the whole purpose of layering. Fabrics like cotton, light cashmere or merino wool are good choices as long as they are a fine gauge knit…avoid bulky sweaters!

Let’s see what Fall Sweaters are good right now and the ones you might be thinking of adding to your closet. Cardigan Sweaters, lightweight cashmere crew neck sweaters, v-neck sweaters and others are leading choices for fall sweaters. They work when the weather starts to cool off and all add timeless elegance to your look. Who doesn’t like a cardigan….they look perfect layered over a shirt and worn with a jacket as a third layer. Many of the cardigans we shopped are either cotton or light weight cashmere or wool. They often have details that make them stand out on their own like lace trim and puff sleeves.

Crew Neck Sweaters

Crew Neck Sweaters are a staple in your closet. They are a classic and are so comfy…they also look great underneath a jacket or blazer. If it is still warm out you can also drape them over your shoulders so you have it on you when the weather cools down in the evening.

V- Neck Sweaters

Another great option for layering as the weather gets cooler. There are so many different styles of V-Neck Sweaters….the traditional v-neck, the front tie v- neck, the side tie v-neck and the button down v neck. They are so easy to layer with a simple white blouse under the sweater and a cropped jacket or just a cami under the v-neck that is peeking out. We love the v-neck for its versatility.

We most certainly do not want the fall to come too early.. summer is so beautiful here in Michigan but the fall might be even better! It doesn’t hurt to be prepared for those days when we need to start transitioning into fall.
