Fall and Everything Pumpkin at The Italian Dish!

Fall in Michigan is the most spectacular season. Summer is much anticipated after a long cold winter but nothing can take your breath away like fall. The leaves changing to brilliant tones of red, yellow and gold and the vibrant blue skies are something you would have to see to believe. We look forward to decorating our homes with fall inspired decorations and our front porches with mums, pumpkins and gourds. We actually look forward to this all year. It is finally here and we could not be more excited!

That is why we decided to visit one of our favorite stores in Birmingham, Michigan to get inspired and they did not disappoint! The Italian Dish carries brands like Juliska, Simon Pearce, Costa Nova and many others. You honestly feel like you are visiting Italy when you enter the store.

An entire section of the store is devoted to Italian inspired food. You can create a classic pasta dish from some of their wonderful pasta sauces. Pumpkin Pesto is a big hit at the Italian Dish too!! Di Zucca , artichoke lemon pesto to create a dip and sweet treats rounds out an excellent selection of sweet and savory foods for entertaining. Don’t forget to pick up some yummy olive oil while you are there too!

The store is beautifully decorated for each season and they are decked out for fall in full splendor. We want to share with you some of our personal favorites but please checkout their website or if you live in the Birmingham area do yourself a favor and stop in. They will even offer you an expresso when you walk in.

Hot Skwash Pumpkins

The beautiful handmade fabric pumpkins by Hot Skwash by Doria, a family business located just outside Portland, Oregon, manufactures couture tabletop items. Hot Skwash pumpkins are hand cut and sewn, and filled with crushed hazelnuts shells or recycled plastic and then topped with a natural stem from their own pumpkins. All of these pumpkins are one of a kind.

We cannot say how much we love these pumpkins. They are soft and have such an elegant look for the fall and can be utilized in any area of your home!
