Ten Fall Appetizer Recipes

Fall has arrived in the Midwest and we could not be happier. The leaves are starting to change too with bright reds and yellows dotting the horizon. By the end of October it will be just beautiful…truly our favorite time of the year. The air is cold and crisp which means we can start wearing those sweaters, jackets and booties we love so much!!

The fall means football season and game day appetizers are often as good as the football game itself. What we also like about fall is the upcoming holidays which means fall parties with family and friends. Don’t you think the best holidays happen in the fall? It seems hard to believe but Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and Christmas are right around the corner and it is never too late to start planning what you will serve if you are going to entertain this fall. Planning what you are going to serve in advance helps you throw a wonderful party with minimal stress.

Fall’s bounty is unique to this time of year. Pumpkins, squash and apples are some example of flavors that are the best and taste wonderful in the foods you prepare this season.

We are sharing a roundup of fall appetizer ideas today to help you plan! Hope you enjoy them and if you have a special appetizer you like to prepare please share in the comments below!

Ten Fall Appetizer Recipes

Delish Chicken Buffalo Meatballs

These meatballs are excellent! The reason we like these meatballs is they are a perfect appetizer to serve at your next game day party. The buffalo sauce which is made with Franks RedHot sauce has a wonderful spicy flavor that really compliments the chicken meatballs. The chicken meatballs are made with panko breadcrumbs, celery, garlic, eggs, green onions, onion powder and salt. If you are not a big fan of blue cheese which is called for in this recipe you can just leave it out and we promise the sauce is still very good. A good reason to have meatballs is they are filling and when you have a crowd with large appetites this recipe will come in handy!

The Pioneer Woman Sheet Pan Nachos

Who doesn’t like nacho’s? They can be made with taco meat as this recipe calls for but you can also make them with chicken if you prefer. The Pioneer Woman has so many wonderful recipes we have made but this is one of those that feeds a large crowd of people and would be a great addition to your game day menu!

The best thing about nachos is you can add the toppings of your choice. Some suggestions are sour cream, cheese, pinto beans, pico de gallo, sliced green onions, sweet corn and lettuce. The list goes on and on which makes this such a versatile appetizer for game day!
