Fall Makeup Edit

We went shopping at Nordstrom at the Somerset Collection in Troy, Michigan…shock of all shocks… and spent some time with Chris Proia, Business Manager for Bobbi Brown. It was so much fun trying out some of the Bobbi Brown cream eye shadow sticks, lip sticks and liners in colors that will look beautiful with our fall wardrobes.

Chris Proia also educated us on illuminating moisture balms and primers for the face and eyes. FYI, we love Bobbi Brown products for their ease of use, wearability and the fact that some products have multiple uses, ie. cream blush as lip color. Bobbi Brown does not present a fall pallet per se, however, the colors they traditionally create can go from season to season. As we age our skin becomes less radiant. The eye and face base primer products moisturize and create a radiant finish without a glitter appearance. This product smoothes, plumps and preps the skin for makeup application

So both Bev and Val have started to use cream eye shadow sticks and they love them. Bobbi Brown’s long wear cream eye shadow sticks live up to their name. They stay put for 8 hours, great for smoking up and highlighting the eyes. Perfect for this fall’s trend of a smoky eye. Bev bought the long-wear cream shadow stick mini set. Included in this set are four of their basic colors at a great value. You can try out this product without breaking the bank.

We also checked out the Extra Illuminating Moisture Balm and the Extra Face Oil. This is Bobbi Brown’s best selling moisture balm. It gives you a glow, hydration and radiance to tired skin. What more can you ask for? We tried this Face Oil and a little goes a long way. This is a product that you want to use if you feel you need a little shot of moisture- added benefit, it smells amazing.

Bev just started Invisalign – yep, orthodontic aligners. Future post on this for sure. Lipstick that gets on teeth is a problem. Lipstick that gets on your aligners is a BIG problem, so one day after starting this, she is right at the Bobbi Brown counter looking for a tinted liquid lip. Voila- she’s crushing it with the Crushed Liquid Lip. It’s a liquid lipstick that feels like a balm. Loving it currently. Val purchased the Luxe Shine Intense Lipstick. Val is a long time Bobbi Brown lipstick consumer. This product has deep pigment with shine. Try it out. We’ve included the lip pencil liner– another go to product. We’ve also featured the Bronzer that is available in many shades and has no shimmer. The Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks is so nice. Chris applied this on Val, loves the cream texture, the color was perfect, does not get into your pores and is very long lasting. The bonus is that you can use this as a lipstick.
