How To Style Your Husband For The Holidays

- November 25, 2025
The holidays are fast approaching and so are the social obligations (which we LOVE!). Most of us put some thought into what we are going to wear to any holiday event (not our husbands!) whether super casual or formal. We had so much fun going to Nordstrom with our husbands for a try on but we did bribe them with a fun dinner afterward!
The holiday’s are certainly time to think of what you are going to wear before the day of the event…..Nate and Tom please pay attention! Asking us what you are going to wear an hour before is not ok! Dressing well boosts your confidence and you don’t want to have the stress of styling a couple of hours before the party!
How To Style Your Husband Your Husband For The Holidays
Know Your Husbands Personal Style
What is your husbands style? Does he have to wear a sport coat to work or is his work environment more casual. Val’s husband Tom is a financial advisor and often has to dress up to meet with clients. Bev’s husband Nate is a doctor and wears a white coat during the day. Nate dresses casual to work but still very put together!
Feeling confident in what you are wearing is important to your entire well being. Knowing if your husband is conservative and classic or modern is super important when shopping for him. Another tip…know exactly what size he wears in pants, sports coats and sweaters and also his neck size in shirts. It makes shopping so much easier!
Choose The Right Holiday Outfit That Fits The Occasion
Casual Gatherings
We see mostly cozy sweaters paired with black trousers or dark jeans along with a dark pair of boots or loafers. Faherty has a great flannel blazers that make a great gift as these blazers are unstructured and uber comfortable!
Family Party
This is the easiest get together to dress for. Men can wear chinos, jeans, casual sweaters or button down shirts. A family gathering could be so casual that sports team sweatshirts would also be perfectly acceptable!
Formal Gathering
Our husbands would want to wear a cashmere or velvet blazer with a crisp white shirt along with a fun and festive tie with leather shoes and belt. Once again the style is predicated on what his style is whether that style is classic or bold and edgy!
More Ideas
Accessories
Here we are talking about your guy adding their own personality. Some men like plain socks and others a colorful print. Holiday ties or bowtie are also other options depending on your mans personality! A great overcoat and a scarf and glove would put the look all together.
Watches seem to be so popular amongst all men so that would add so much to a holiday outfit too.
Footwear
Depending on the event the choices in footwear for men are extensive! If you are going to a family holiday event and your family tradition is super casual a sneaker or loafer would be a great choice! A casual party would be an opportunity to wear a dress boot and a formal party a sleek and even shiny tie up or derby to add that final classic touch. Check out the examples below!

To our husbands make sure the outfits you are planning to wear are dry cleaned or freshly pressed. Make sure your trousers are hemmed and your shoes shined. Apply cologne and you are good to go!
