Luncheon Outfits for Fall: Stylish Looks for Women

Fall is one of our favorite seasons for fashion. Whether you are meeting friends for lunch, attending a special luncheon or have a shower on your calendar, putting together a stylish outfit is what we are focusing on today.

What is it about Fall fashion that feels so refreshing? It’s probably the opportunity to utilize all the new fabrics and colors to create outfits fit for the cooler weather. Living in the Midwest, you experience the weather that is unique in each season. And sometimes that’s a challenge-however, we have some great ideas for you for your inspiration.

Luncheon Outfits for Fall: Stylish Looks for Women

The perfect luncheon outfit depends on the location and how dressy the occasion is. A restaurant lunch with friends may call for something more casual, while a ladies’ luncheon, shower or special celebration may require a more polished look. We love the colors this fall- rich chocolate, burgundy, camel, black and animal prints.

Below are the outfits we created ranging from dresses, pants and skirts. A dress is always an easy choice, the one and done formula for dressing. Yet, a great skirt or pair of pants can be the base for a very chic look. A classic top or blazer pulls an outfit together quickly. Let’s have a look at the round up of outfits we put together.

Fall Luncheon Outfit – The Plaid Midi Dress

Fall temperatures can be tricky and we chose this dress from Mint Velvet with that in mind. The short sleeves are perfect for the warmer temperatures. We love a midi dress because the one-piece silhouette makes outfit planning easy and the length feels feminine and polished. Click here for another Mint Velvet Dress. The boot by Sam Edelman is one of our favorites. The heel height is comfortable, the color choices are many and the sizing is inclusive- up to extra wide calf sizing.

Fall Luncheon Outfit- The Paisley Dress

The dress by Marie Oliver is the same one Val is wearing in the above photo. What a beautiful combination of colors and patterns. This midi dress needs only a few accessories to polish the look. With the long sleeves, it’s perfect for cooler temps or any indoor space. We again paired this with our favorite boot- the Sam Edelman Sylvia. This dress would look great paired with a jean jacket too!

Fall Luncheon Outfit- Classic Blazer with Animal Print Pant

This outfit has a few of our favorites here. First of all the Classic Black Blazer with Gold Buttons is timeless. Here is the one featured above and one from Quince. This is an investment piece that you will be a real closet hero. The Frame Leopard print pant is the perfect fall combination of elevated and comfort. This pant can be worn dressed up or casual. Another classic favorite is the Julie Vos link bracelet and the Ally Shoe Mary Jane Kitten Heel Slingback. If you haven’t tried this brand, please consider it. They are hand made and specifically designed for comfort. We both own multiple pairs and speak from experience, they are perfect for all day wear.

Fall Luncheon Outfit- Camel Blazer and Print Pant

We styled this outfit after the one Bev has on in the above photo. She found her pants at a boutique on vacation, however, the pair above are a similar look. Click here and here for other options. The classic white shirt looks great under the blazer and on it’s own.

Fall Luncheon Outfit- Skirt and Sweater

A skirt and sweater outfit is another wonderful choice for a fall luncheon. It’s comfortable, feminine and gives you plenty of opportunities to play with texture and color. We chose this faux leather skirt for it’s classic versatility. Paired with a sleeveless sweater gives you options if the weather is a bit warm. Switch out the booties for a pump if it’s really warm. Play animal prints off of the black and white canvas of the outfit- this creates a nice fall color palette that is subtle. Here’s a great example of how nice black and brown look together.

When you’re wondering what to wear to a fall luncheon, remember that there isn’t one perfect outfit. The best look is one that fits the occasion while making you feel comfortable, confident, and like yourself. The key is to choose pieces you already love and add a few seasonal touches. After all, dressing should be fun!
