Modern Swim Styles For Women Over 60

If you are like most women, the thought of putting on a bathing suit in mid-February doesn’t thrill you. Well it doesn’t thrill us either, however, if you have the nerve, now is a good time to start looking.

Bathing suit shopping is like jean shopping- go when you have time dedicated to trying on a ton of suits and options. Look for ruching (our friend) and high quality fabrics. These details may increase the price but you are worth it. Look for bathing suits that are comfortable and give you confidence and please do not be too hard on yourselves!

We both feel shopping for bathing suits can be stressful. Women can be so hard on themselves. We look in the mirror and see figure flaws that may or may not be as noticeable to others as you think. Shopping for one piece bathing suits for women over 60 is not for the faint of heart…you know what we mean!!!

So yes…it is that time of year again and you are thinking about replacing some of your bathing suits that you either don’t like or maybe they just don’t fit like they used to. We have found that one piece bathing suits offer great coverage depending on your body type. These suits are designed to cover but yet are feminine, classy and in some cases sexy. Yes.. there are swim suits that will make you feel confident and comfortable in your own skin!!

Modern Swim Styles For Women Over 60

There are many different types of swim suits available for women such as bikinis (if you are comfortable in them), one piece, tankini’s, and swim dresses. One piece bathing suits come in so many different styles such as high neck or v neck, classic tank style, strapless or bandeau, one shoulder or halter neck.

For this post, we are going to focus on modern swim styles for women over 60, especially one-piece bathing suits, because they look so good on so many different figures.

We have picked out a variety of one piece suits and even styled a few. Take a minute to check out some of our favorites!

Eloise One Piece Swim Suit

We love black swim suits because they are slimming and you can pair them with so many different coverups. We picked this suit because it has the shirred detail, moderate bottom coverage and classic leg height.

This swim suit does have a higher leg and a hidden inner strap to fasten for a more smooth look in the front. Available in band sizes 30 to 40 and cup sizes starting at D on up.

The beautiful floral print is what attracted us to this suit! You can never go wrong with blue and white! The suit has a keyhole opening with adjustable straps too. What we really liked was the shirred body to emphasize the waist and tummy control. This suit comes in every color of the rainbow too!

    1. Hi Felicia…There are three of them with a high leg..the Lands End Swim Suit,The Cancun and the Ibiza from Bravissimo. Some women with long legs like the higher leg line because it elongates the leg…not me (Val) because I do not like my chunky thighs!!! The rest should be ok. We tried to select swim suits that either have some sort of tummy control and breat support also! Thanks for reaching out Felicia!!
