New Wellness Spa In Birmingham, MI: Color Box Luxury Nail Studio and Wellness

Color Box Luxury Nail Studio and Wellness is a woman owned boutique that incorporates premium non-toxic , vegan products and organic plant essential oils for many of the treatments. It is hard to believe but they sterilize their tools in hospital grade autoclaves and have waterless pedicures to eliminate water borne bacteria. The hygiene standards are a big reason why we both love Color Box. The environment is so calming and the attention to detail is something the staff is known for.

The new Wellness Center is a treatment and wellness spa that Kendra has dreamed of for a long time and is now a reality. There is nothing like this in the state of Michigan and we are so lucky to have this beautiful spa here in Birmingham!! To best explain what treatments are is to quote ” The treatment menu offers a fusion of ancient healing traditions, working both physically on the body as well as calming the mind to harmonize your emotional and mental well being too.”

We were lucky enough to experience two treatments and we loved them! Truly like something we have never experienced before! We did a Dry Flotation Therapy treatment and Val had a treatment in the Light Therapy room. Both of these treatments are available as add ons if you are at the salon receiving a manicure or pedicure too.

Dry Flotation Therapy

The Dry Flotation Therapy was quite an experience. Imagine if you could float on a cloud without any effort and you are cocooned by a warm layer of water that envelopes you. No…you will not get wet…. this is a totally dry treatment. Gravity is almost absent and the tension and stress is lifted from your body.

The Dry Flotation Therapy is 30 minutes long and the health benefits include regeneration of the body and mind, it reduces stress levels and improves your mood. We both truly enjoyed the experience and plan on floating again!!

Sun Light Therapy

This treatment takes guests from darkness to sunrise, up to peak sunshine and back to sunset all in a wonderful relaxing plant filled room. This room is designed to give you the benefits of the sun without the harmful rays.

This therapy helps improve the production of Vitamin D and help for those of us who suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder!

Facials

Try the Cool Jet Cold Plasma Facial at Color Box! You will be happy you did. This facial utilizes high voltage, low atmospheric temperatures to increase skin elasticity while increasing collagen levels.

There are many different facials offered at Color Box which are all available on their website. Your aesthetician will also be helpful in determining what facial would be appropriate for your particular skin type.

Massages

We have both had massages at Color Box and have come out feeling calm and relaxed. Depending on the type of massage you enjoy you can request deep tissue, sports massage or a therapeutic massage.

Massage upgrades are also available such as using essential oils throughout the treatment or even cupping which is a treatment that concentrates on an area of pain in your body or to reduce swelling and muscle knots in your connective tissue.

Body Wraps

Have you ever had a body wrap? If not, book an appointment at Color Box for one of many of their body wraps. Pair a body wrap with a dry floatation and scalp massage for an incredibly relaxing experience.

Spray Tanning

What we like best about a spray tan at Color Box is the spray tan is WARM! The solution that they use leaves you skin feeling nourished and healthy. The tan lasts too especially if you purchase the moisturizer they suggest to increase the longevity of the tan.
