- February 5, 2021
Is your skin dry from this Midwest winter, the furnace being on forever and washing your hands for the millionth time? If so, today’s post spotlights some of the best creams that we use to combat this. We hope you find that they work for you as well.
L’Occitane
L’Occitane is a company that Bev and I frequent….often!!!! L’occitane products include an array of choices from body to skin care that nourishes the skin and includes naturally derived ingredients and plant extracts. The Ultra Rich Body Cream is their best seller for a good reason…it works! The Almond Body Balm is for normal to dry skin and smells amazing! This cream is perfect for the whole body. Check out our Valentines Gift ideas post for additional L’Occitane ideas.
Clarins
The Clarins Extra Firming Body Cream not only helps with crepey skin..it visibly firms and smooths..but it is highly moisturizing. In addition to Shea Butter and Jojoba oil it has natural plant extracts. Try using the Exfoliating Body Scrub in the shower before applying this cream.
CeraVe
CeraVe has a a large selection of products for body care. The CeraVe Moisturizing Cream developed by dermatologists is fragrance free and contains hyaluronic acid and ceramides. The product is for dry to very dry skin. Bev loves this!!!
Aquaphor
Aquaphor has been available in the US for over 90 years. Aquaphor’s barrier properties protect against wind and cold weather. In addition it is a product moms use for diaper rash and excess for little ones. Fragrance, paraben and dye free and hypoallergenic all in on product! Amazing!
Kiehls
Since 1851 the Kiehl’s Company has been producing skin care care products that have stood the test of time. The Creme de Corps Body Butter has been a best seller for the company since the 1980’s. This product is also available in lotion form. You will be tempted to spread this on a scone but save it for your dried up skin!
Eucerin
Eucerin helps to protect the skin…very dry and compromised skin respond well to this product. It has been around for more then 100 years…fragrance free and endorsed by dermatologist.
Cetaphil
Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream was produced in 2009. Excellent for very dry and sensitive skin. Recommended by dermatologists. Their claim to fame is how good it is for sensitive skin. The Moisturizing Cream is fragrance free and will last for up to 24 hours on your skin.
