Bras, Shapewear and More!

The secret to looking good in a dress versus looking great in your dress is having the right bra! Larger breasted women figure out quickly that wearing a bra that lifts and is flattering is so incredibly important and can change the complete look of an outfit! Shapewear can have a slimming effect too especially with dresses that are body hugging! We scoured Nordstrom to see if there were any items that fit the bill. We personally own all of these items we have chosen for this post or at least have tried them on!

Lets start with the BEST bra! We both have the Wacoal Red Carpet Underwire Bra in the photo above! Why?……when you wear this bra as a strapless bra it really does not slide down when you are dancing or just running around town. How many times have you purchased a strapless bra that slides down while you discreetly try to pull it back up! NEVER AGAIN! The straps can be worn conventionally, halter style, crossed in back or even with one strap for a one shoulder dress! Val has purchased several of these bras and actually sized down the band size and sized up the cup size. This really worked! The staff at Nordstrom are very good and can offer assistance in sizing for you if you are not sure.

Shapewear is also one of our favorites! Shapewear helps to smooth and gives your clothes a more streamlined appearance. Spanx has a Shaper that we both own that we can tell you really works!

This shaper has it all!! This shaper sculpts the waist, tummy, thighs and back. It is lightweight but is powerful enough to give you the slimming effect you are desiring. There are adjustable straps and includes a double gusset for bathroom breaks! This shaper will definitely provide a streamlined look!!!

Great panties that we both also own…no pantie lines ladies!!!
