Olive Clothing -A Fall Neutral

We love olive and think it’s such a great neutral fall color. It looks good on every skin tone because it is warm in it’s undertone. Colors that it plays well with are black, brown, dark blue, burnt orange, light grey and off-white. It is so versatile. Bev went nuts and bought two great dresses last year. Having a few choice dresses in your closet is a sure way to be confident that you are ready for anything that you will be going to this fall-think holiday gatherings, bridal/baby showers, birthday parties and such. The earthy tone adds more interest. If you just want to update what you already have for fall, a sweater or jacket is a nice way to hit refresh.

Olive Dresses

The dresses that we found are the perfect choice for any Fall event or Holiday. The longer dress is by Barbour – the Laverne Belted Sweater Dress. It is a blend of cotton and polyamide- for those of you who have a problem wearing wool! Style with boots, booties or a pump. The Maaza dress is by MM LaFleur. We have previously featured this dress in black. It is a great basic shift dress- petite friendly, machine washable, wrinkle resistant and it has pockets. If you think it’s too short, you can wear this with opaques and knee high boots. We thought the Veronica Beard Lexington Boot would be great with this dress.

Olive Separates

We both bought the Franklin High Waisted Faux wide leg pant by BlankNYC at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. That happens a lot. Haha. The price of these pants was $58 during the sale and they now cost $128. A wonderful value for a trendy item. The selections below are meant to be styled with other colors-say denim, black, white, cream to give some direction. The Megan tote is by Rebecca Minkoff and Bev can speak from experience how well these totes hold up. She has a beautiful Megan tote in Luggage Tan that she uses everyday for work and after two years it still looks new.

Olive Casual

The Zella Luxe Scuba Stand Up Collar Jacket and the Luxe Wide Leg pocket pants are a beautiful shade of olive. The look so comfy and might work as a travel outfit with a black or white tank underneath. Spanx has the AirEssential line of clothing that is very similar with a wide leg pant and a 1/4 zip top. Varley has similar items as well, however, not in the olive color- boo hoo! Included in this selection are sneakers- the one’s by Sorel are so cute, boots- the Vanetta Boot by Cougar– Bev owns in Black- so comfy and stylish and loafers-the Vince Camuto Paydren would go with so much!

Recently Seen On Seasons Embraced

Below are two tops that we had recently on our blog or LTK shop. The olive turtleneck sweater on the left is from Avara and is the Bridget Sweater. It is a great piece to wear in late Summer and into Fall and Winter by adding a long sleeve white tee underneath. With code SEASONSEMBRACED receive 15% off of your first order at Avara. The faux leather blouse on the right is from Anthropologie and is the Dolan Puff Sleeve Faux Leather Blouse. Again looks good for late Summer paired with white jeans then add olive pants with a cocoa brown suede jacket for Fall weather.
