Traveling is something both of us love to do, but packing and getting ready can be a bit stressful. The trend is to pack way too much- you will need those 3 pairs of shoes and purse that you just remembered from years ago- Right?!? First things first- nail down the outfit you will wear while traveling. We have gathered some of our favorite pieces and hope you like them!
Above is Bev’s inspo board. She wore this recently on a trip from Michigan to Florida. Leaving her winter coat in the car, this layered outfit was perfect for accommodating the airport, airplane and Florida’s warmer weather. A black cashmere scarf always comes in handy on a plane. The blazer is from Banana Republic, was offered in the fall and is back now- love it! Great details- beautiful buttons on the front on sleeves, comes in black, navy and a light camel. The red pouch is from a company we just discovered- Kelly Wynne. The beautiful purses, beach bags and travel accessories she creates are so functional. Click here to see. The tote is similar to this Rebecca Minkoff Megan Tote that Bev has. Love it as well.
Below are some pieces that may make your travel experience easier. Just click on the photo for more information.
This was Val’s pick for a travel outfit….her last trip was to California….yikes…five hours in the air not counting the time spent in the airport with a mask on. Comfort is of the utmost importance!! The outfits were perfect California…warmer during the day and much cooler in the evening. Lots of shopping and wine tasting call for a crossbody that is light and effortless as you go place to place, needing quick access to your credit card!!! Hahahaha! The leggings are from Spanx….Val’s favorite! Both of the tops are Athleta..cannot tell you how comfortable they are on a long trip but yet stylish. Stuart Weitzman has the most beautiful boots and they amped up every outfit in the evening. The scarf is no longer available but this scarf is pretty similar and you can find it here.

Feeling comfortable and good about yourself is just part of it but being organized is something many of us struggle with when traveling. There are very functional travel makeup bag and organizers out there that make this part of traveling so much easier! The Kusshi bags are perfect for travel. They have zippers on three sides so when you unzip them you can really see all your makeup in the bag rather then rummaging around to find your eyeliner! The bags are washable and make getting ready in the morning or organizing your makeup for travel that much easier. They come in beautiful colors too so we are sure you will find a color you like. The Kusshi company has a system that is pretty cool. The system includes an Organizer that you can snap into your makeup bag or fill up your makeup bag and snap your Organizer into a Clutch Cover for additional storage. To visually see what we are talking about go to the Kusshi website here.
How painful is it when you get to your destination and you have limited time to unpack and get ready for a dinner you have scheduled with friends. You look at the clothes you have brought and see they are wrinkled and they need some serious attention. Pulling out the iron and ironing board is on order! But wait…you brought your Rowena Travel Steamer. Save the day!!! That is how happy the steamer makes us. This is one item yo definitely need when traveling. Your clothes will thank you!!
If you are traveling this month we hope this post has been helpful. If you have any other ideas or cute outfits for travel please share!
