Our Thanksgiving Tablescapes

We are inviting you into our homes today, virtually, to give you a glimpse at our tablescapes for Thanksgiving. It’s our favorite holiday of this season. You know why, NO GIFTS- just eating and drinking. And we love the color palette. The creativity that comes with designing a table for your family and friends to gather is what this season is about. We hope our photos provide some inspiration for your own table. We’ve added photos of similar items if we could not track down what we actually used.
Val’s Table
Val sets her table with Johnson Bros. “Friendly Village” Place Setting. Val likes the color palette as it is very much the color of fall in the Midwest and creates a warm and cozy ambiance. Many of the items on her table are very old and unavailable but we have included some similar choices if you like the look! The Razzle Dazzle Champagne Flutes that are accented in gold are a current find!!! They are so cute and add some pizzazz to the table. The napkins were purchased at least ten ( or twenty) or so years ago! Egads! Am I aging myself????? We have included a similar choice for those napkins too!!! Love the Hester and Cook paper placemats and have used them quite a bit. Check out their website here. The table runner is fur (faux) and is fun a different accent that I also use at Christmas. Tried hard to find a similar one and wasn’t successful but if you like to sew you could probably recreate it.
Bev’s Table
Bev starts setting her Thanksgiving table with a live edge wooden cheese board as the base of her centerpiece. Placing clear glass candle holders on the board allows people to see each other across the table. She uses fresh eucalyptus stems along the board and places pumpkins and gourds to add to the look. For each place setting Bev starts with a Chilewich Placemat in a cocoa brown, rattan charger, dinner plate, salad plate and a cloth napkin and a copper napkin ring. She uses a stainless steel flatware setting. For glassware Bev likes to use her Waterford Lismore water/wine goblets- a wedding gift from- let’s just say awhile back- haha. The copper mugs add a bit of festive color. Love to add a little gift at each plate- Lindt Truffles- the colors work so well. A wrapped cookie or small candle works too!
Some of our favorite candles to add that Holiday scent to your home in addition of course to the aroma of roasting turkey!
We can’t believe Thanksgiving is next week. You might want to start getting ready. It’s here! No matter how many guests you have, there is still planning, shopping and cooking involved. The more you complete days before, the more time you will have to relax with your family and friends. That is what makes hosting this holiday so special, is the time spent with your loved ones.
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
