Our Top Ten Winter Coats!

Winter is coming. It is inevitable. We understand how this might not be the most popular topic but look at it this way! A great looking winter coat will keep the fashion police at bay! Your winter coat is what most people see in the midwest sometimes being more important than your clothing underneath! We have spent some time shopping for coats and since both of us have grown up here in Michigan we feel we are kind of like experts on this!! Haha!

Out Top Ten Winter Coats!

Coat # 1

Isn’t this coat impressive!!!? The mixed media gives the coat edgy detail with a high shine nylon, metallic tweed and exposed zip closure. The hood does not come off but when it is snowing and you want to keep your hair looking good the hood comes in handy. It comes with a belt tie but you can certainly take it off if desired. True To Size!

Coat # 2

Really love the neutral color of this coat! Varley is a one of our favorite brands and this coat would be a welcome addition to your coat wardrobe. It is oversized on purpose. The company has suggested if you want a more tailored look to size down. The coat is warm and has a high collar to keep your neck and chest warm with internal cuffs. Comes with a hood too!

Coat # 3

It comes in seven colors and the price is incredibly reasonable! it is on sale right now for $151.00. The coat has a what the company calls “crumples” on the front which is what makes this coat so wow!!

Coat # 4

Soia&Kyo has fashionable outerwear that also can battle the elements! The Skye coat has s funnel color for additional warmth and an adjustable draw cord. It is constructed with lightweight down and 100% recycled nylon shell to trap the body heat and keep you warm. We love the knit sleeve which gives the coat a unique look and it is certainly in a league of its own!! Cannot beat the color!

Coat # 5

J. McLaughlin Vivian Puffer is their new puffer this year! It has 3/4 length sleeves, quilted and a stand up collar for heat retention. The front is off center which adds such a chic appearance to this coat. The metallic champagne color is just gorgeous!!! It will amp up any outfit you pair it with!

Coat # 6

Keeping cozy and cuddly in the winter is our goal! This coat would do the trick. It is hooded and is constructed from a faux shearling in a beautiful shade of toffee.

Coat # 7

Another beautiful coat from Soia&Kyo! What really drew our attention is the beautiful shade of cedar green! It is simply gorgeous! This coat is a combination of both quilted nylon and sherpa and hits right above the knee. Val owns a Soia&Kyo coat and can truly attest to the warmth and beautiful styling of their coats.

Coat # 8

This Halli Coat comes in this beautiful heather grey but also in black! We wouldn’t know which one to pick since we love both colors. With its edgy silhouette, leather trim around the wrist and placket, and the ability to zip it up into a funnel neck to protect against the elements this coat is stunning.

Coat # 9

Barbour has classic outerwear that never goes out of style. This coat is durable, with a waterproof wax finish and a contrast corduroy collar and a plaid patterned lining. An interesting note about this particular Beadnell Coat is the compatible hood and quilted liner (sold separately) that can be zipped into this coat for additional warmth. Coats For Those Serious Cold Days

The winters are long and cold in the Midwest. During the fall and early winter a lighter coat will work but when the snow starts falling and the temperatures dip down into the teens with the windshield factor lower then that you absolutely need a COAT!! This requires not just any coat but a coat built to handle the subzero temperatures that is also fashionable!
