Ten Summer to Fall Outfits

One of the reasons we started this fun blog is to help women find outfits for each Season of the Year. The time between Summer and Fall is magical here in the Midwest, however, the weather can be unpredictable. It’s challenging to choose an outfit to wear if the temps vary. There are some very versatile pieces that can be layered as the weather changes- jackets, sweaters, vests and more. We are sharing a round up of 10 transitional outfits that you can wear as summer turns to fall.

This was a fun post to write – styling outfits and accessories is especially interesting when the Seasons do change and there are many new items showing up that are new and unique. Let’s see what we found to wear at this time of year.

Summer To Fall-White Pants

Can you still wear white pants after Labor Day? Of course -style with black and gold for an elevated look. Some people choose ecru or ivory for this time of year and that is fine. J Crew has this beautiful A-line light-weight merino wool skirt that we paired with their Cashmere Lace Pointelle Sweater Polo for warmer weather. For cooler weather, style it with the Aritzia Dear Sweater. The Vince Camuto Snakeprint shoe is a recent purchase for us both. These shoes are comfy and go with so many colors for Fall. Blue Denim is the easiest item to transition from summer to fall since many of us wear this color year round. We styled with a long sleeve blouse for late summer and add the cropped barn jacket from J Crew when temperatures drop. Click on the photos for any details or information you need.

How To Make Summer Clothes Work For Fall

Wear Layers- Sweaters, Jackets and Vests work great as the temperatures drop

Wear Neutral Colors- They are timeless and look good all year long

Change out footwear that is in the same color palette think Sandals and Booties in camel, black and snakeskin.

Choose denim jackets- they are a timeless classic and look good with white, black, khaki and camel.

Wear a Midi Skirt- paired with a tank or sleeveless top for warm temps then any cropped jacket when it’s cooler.
