Six Dinner Party Outfit Ideas
A Casual Pool Party

Okay, we are not wearing a bathing suit here people. Right?! The weather is what you should plan your outfit around. Warm and humid days are perfect for hanging out by a pool. Think of light and flowy fabrics for a fun dinner around a pool.
The Mint Velvet Scalloped Top and this Rails skirt make this a perfect outfit. The earrings and bracelets are from Susan Shaw. The purse is by Frances Valentine and the sandals are by Larroude.

A Beach Party/Boat Ride

If you are lucky enough to be invited to a beach party or boat ride, you should really accept the invitation!
We chose a few looks for you. Find a bathing suit that you love (Yes this is possible) then plan your outfit around that. We found two looks to wear with this Navy one piece. The first look is a navy and white striped knit mini dress from Mint Velvet. This dress measures 34.5 inches in length so while it might be short, it should hit just above the knee. The second look is a wide leg linen pant from Madewell and a blue and white striped top from J Crew. The Belt and Tote is from J. McLaughlin and the sandals are from Margaux. We added gold hoops for that classic touch. Both of these looks would be great over a bathing suit.

Dinner At A Friend’s House

Relaxing with friend is just the best! It is also so important to be comfortable! We found this red linen dress by Farm Rio for the hot nights of summer. Did you know that adding a pop of color to your wardrobe can boost your mood? Try it and see. The red sandals are from Madewell, the purse is from Lilly Pulitzer, the earrings are from Tuckernuck and the bracelet is from one of our favorites- Julie Vos.

A Backyard Barbecue

We had to share both of these looks because they could also be worn to a friend’s house for dinner too!
The sage green and white stripe dress is from Varley. They make great casual clothes from beautiful and comfortable fabrics. The navy button down dress is from Ramy Brook. What we wanted to show is how the accessories can be worn with either outfit. Bev has a pair of the Pella Moda sandals– these look great with skirts and pants. The Lilly Pulitzer purse pairs with the earrings and bracelet.

Dinner Out With Friends

This Dress The Population dress can be styled two ways and we are showing an elevated look. The Alexis Bittar earrings and Wolf & Badger Silver Multi Gemstone Bracelet really compliment the print on the dress. Isn’t this blue clutch cute? It’s from J. McLaughlin. The sandals are Pella Moda and are real winners.

Milestone Event At A Venue

We love this look for a special night out-think wedding or a Milestone Event. Chiara Boni has some beautiful dresses for women and this Peplum Cocktail Dress is one of them. The embellished detail on the waist adds just the right touch. We paired this with these great Wolf & Badger crystal earrings and Nadri bangle bracelet to compliment this dress. The silver crystal clutch pairs well with the Pella Moda silver sandals.

Things To Remember When Putting Together An Outfit
Whether you have a casual dinner or a special event, plan your outfit in advance to prevent the last minute scramble we all have gone through. If you struggle with this whole process- use these tips. You can always ask us or your friends. We are always happy to help!!
1. Select your outfit first- typically a dress is easier because it’s only one decision.
2. Select the proper under garments.
3. Select your shoes – think if you will be stranding for awhile a block heel works best or on uneven ground a wedge works well too.
4. Purse selection- consider what you need to bring and if you will be carrying it for a time. A crossbody leaves your hands free!!
5. Jewelry- this is the fun part but if you struggle with selection remember too much is too much.
