Dinner Party Outfit Ideas

We realize that not every woman enjoys fashion and styling outfits for what life holds for each of us. Some find it a challenge and that is where we can help. We love putting outfits together for you. Dinner party outfits are what we are sharing today because it’s fun to style an outfit. The benefit of having a few outfit ideas all planned out is the confidence you have when you are going out. Simply get the items together and enjoy your evening. There are a few things to consider when choosing your outfit- is the gathering casual or formal, at a home or venue. We have created looks for a casual pool party, a beach party, a backyard BBQ, a home dinner party, dinner out with friends, and a milestone event at a venue. Six Dinner Party Outfit Ideas

A Casual Pool Party

Okay, we are not wearing a bathing suit here people. Right?! The weather is key here. Warm and humid days are perfect for hanging out by a pool. Think of light and flowy fabrics for a fun dinner around a pool. This tiered skirt by Nic and Zoe is a great choice. We paired it with this v-neck, puff sleeve top by Tanya Taylor Top. Love the Stuart Wietzman wedge– so simple yet elegant. We found the belt on Amazon and the tote is from Mark&Graham. It’s been challenge finding an assortment of straw belts recently. A Beach Party

If you are lucky enough to be invited to a beach party you should really accept the invitation! We chose this Tommy Bahama beach dress because it can also be a swim suit cover up and the loose profile is comfortable on a very hot and humid day. Bev has a similar dress and found this to be true. We flipped over these Jeffrey Campbell sandals and love this Pamela Munson tote. We included the tinted lip balm with SPF 30. Don’t forget to protect your skin.

Dinner At A Friend’s House

Relaxing with friend is just the best! It is also so important to be comfortable! Modern Citizen has so many beautiful dresses and this one is composed of an organic cotton fabric very much like a t-shirt! Could you really get much more comfortable?? This dress does run large so make sure you size down. Machine wash this dress and lay flat to dry. Tory Burch is truly one of our favorite purse designers and the T Monogram Denim Bucket Bag checks all the boxes. The beautiful denim blue looks great with so many outfits including your denim! A new jewelry designer we just discovered is Susan Shaw. Where have we been!! Up north drinking wine!! Hahaha! Susan Shaw is known for her artistic themes like utilizing bee and butterfly motifs for her jewelry. Wearing the Mixed Metal Coin Metal necklace just elevated this dress and a definite compliment magnet.

A Backyard Barbecue

We are so loving this look! Light and breezy and so feminine! Cleobella’s Wilder Ankle Dress is the perfect dress for these hot and humid days but will still keep you looking cool. Tory Burch Capri Miller Espadrille Sandal has the beautiful shining medallion on the front of the sandal with a jute wedge. Dinner Out On The Town With Friends

This outfit screams summer. Again, we chose this Kate Spade New York striped tiered skirt for a summer or warm weather climate for comfort. We would pair this with a white or a luggage tan sandal. It also would look good paired with a blue or white denim jacket. The One-Shoulder Heavy Cotton Tank from Banana Republic is a must for all. The Raina Sally Shell Belt is a summer classic.

Milestone Event At A Venue

The Veronica Beard Brompton Ruched Dress will be a dress you will go to often as it can be dressed up or down. We chose this dress for a milestone event at a venue for it’s comfort and sophistication. It’s an ideal dress for travel and with a few elegant accessories you are all set. The Jeffrey Campbell Pumps are so good. The nude suede, shape of the shoe, padded footbed and the reasonable heel height- buy them now- we both did. This shoe can also be worn at least 3 seasons of the year. The Alexis Bittar jewelry pieces make quite a statement- remember with this size of jewelry a few pieces are better- don’t let the look overwhelm you! After quite a search we found this beautiful Cult Gia Hera Nano Knotted Embellished bag that compliments the shoes so well.

Things To Remember When Putting Together An Outfit

Whether you have a casual dinner or a special event, plan your outfit in advance to prevent the last minute scramble we all have gone through. 1. Select your outfit first- typically a dress is easier because it’s only one decision. 2. Select the proper under garments. 3. Select your shoes – think if you will be stranding for awhile a block heel works best or on uneven ground a wedge works well too. 4. Purse selection- consider what you need to bring and if you will be carrying it for a time. A crossbody leaves your hands free!! 5. Jewelry- this is the fun part but if you struggle with selection remember too much is too much. If you struggle with this whole process- use these tips. You can always ask us or your friends.
