Start with a base layer! Wear a thin or breathable piece next to your skin like a camisole or a fitted tee.. Don’t wear anything too heavy. The layers coming next will be heavier.

The next layer will be the layer you depend on for warmth. These include sweaters, cardigans, vests, fleece, or hoodies. This layer traps body heat while bridging your base and outer shell.

Over your heavy layer you need to wear a coat, trench coat, blazer, or weather-resistant jacket to block wind and rain.

You want to dress thin to thick with the thinnest layer next to your skin. Try to use different textures like a pretty cable sweater with a sleek faux leather jacket over.

Every layer should look good enough on its own as you may have to take off layers as it gets warmer.
