Harbor Springs, our Up North Jewel, is a quaint little town in Northern Michigan that we can honestly say is one of our favorites. There is so much to do…golfing, shopping, boating (a fave for sure!), and skiing in the winter. Walking and biking are activities that many people enjoy here. More importantly…you can just chill!! Read a book and relax! We are so excited for the changing leaves. In the fall the beauty of a ride through the Tunnel of Trees is utterly majestic! Skiing and snow shoeing is part of the winter activities that many enjoy! Michigan is known for our lakes..few states have the fresh water waterfront we have here! When you go “Up North” you leave all your worries behind and and just melt into the beautiful landscape….Look below!!!

Pond Hill Farm
Pond Hill Farm, located in Harbor Springs, is definitely a destination you cannot miss. It has a farm store which sells homemade canned goods made from their own family recipes, fresh produce, soaps and bath salts, cute home decorations and so much more. Pond Hill Farm also has a winery and brewery (if you like Chardonnay we highly suggest it!). The cafe is so relaxing with a deck and beautiful surrounding flowers but you can also dine with the kiddos on long picnic tables. Fabulous pizza!! There are hiking trails and snow shoeing in the winter. In addition they have sledding for the children. Children and adults alike enjoy this fun locale but especially the kiddos. There is a trout pond where you can feed the fish, farm animals, goats (you can feed the goats by purchasing food in the farm store!). Golf is a pastime many Michiganders love..and our season can be short because we are dependent on the weather. Along with being a great game that you can play at any age…it is fun, challenging and you are outside enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Dining is a pleasure in Harbor Springs….there are many fabulous restaurants which makes it so hard to choose.

Other restaurants that we love! Piersons is another fun locale with delicious pizza!! Great place for sandwiches is Gurneys Bottle Shop– awesome. No article about dining in Harbor Springs is complete without mentioning the Bar Harbor– they are known for their burgers. Locals refer to the Bar Harbor as the “Last Call”.
Toms Mom’s Cookies– The Best Cookies Ever- and we are not kidding!!!
Other notable restaurants in Harbor Springs are Vernales, Teddy Griffins, Small Batch At The Cupola, and Spring & Porter. There are so many wonderful restaurants in the area we just could not mention them all but most assuredly you will not have trouble finding a restaurant you like!
