How To Create A Beautiful Memorial Day and 4th Of July Tablescape!

Memorial Day and 4th Of July Tablescape

Spring is officially here and summer is right around the corner. The summer goes by so fast here in the Midwest. In saying that, if you entertain during the summer, specifically the upcoming Memorial Day or 4th of July celebration, it is never too early to start planning your tablescape. In fact, we have found a company – Hester & Cook – that we have personally purchased paper runners, paper placemats and napkins and additional accessories from for years for various holidays throughout the year. They add so much interest to your table and you can layer different patterns adding more pizzazz to the overall presentation. Our featured tablescape was created several years ago but some of the items are still available with some wonderful new additions to the patriotic collection!

In addition to their beautiful table runners and placemats Hester & Cook sells beautiful glassware and bar accessories, vintage flatware and table linens. It is a one stop shop for you when preparing for your next dinner party. They also have some beautiful candles and vases to further accent your table and home!

Choose A Color Scheme

It goes without saying that red, white and blue are the traditional colors that are used for tablescapes for these patriotic holidays as they are the colors of the American flag! Many people also throw in a touch of purple as it signifies bravery and independence. It doesn’t mean that you can’t be creative and throw in some silver or gold if you would like but for purposes of this post we decided to stick with traditional colors.

Val decided to go all out and purchase red dinnerware! This look can just as easily be accomplished by using white dinnerware but sometimes it is fun to go all out especially when the dishes are so cost effective! The Pioneer Woman Toni Linen Dinnerware Set is only $49.97 for a 12 piece set.
