What To Wear With A Grey Sweater

Don’t you just love sweaters that can you can wear in multiple seasons? Here in Michigan, the weather is sunny and still a bit cool some days. Sweater weather for sure, but now is when you start thinking of spring so a lighter shade of grey would be a great choice. Grey is a neutral color that is a good alternative to ivory, camel, taupe, white and ecru. It looks good with the colors just mentioned in addition to black, blue, olive, navy and denim. You can style a grey sweater for anything- casual, elevated even sporty. Today we are sharing a round-up of items that you can style a grey sweater with to create a fresh look.
What To Wear With A Grey Sweater
Jeans
We included jeans in blue, white and black. All of these will go with different shades of grey. The Joe’s Jean Hi Honey Curvy High Waist Boot Cut in black is one that Bev has- she also has it in blue. It has a nice profile and a long leg. The Veronica Beard Beverly High Rise Skinny Flare is a good basic white jean. The Colette Cropped Wide-Leg pant by Maeve is from Anthropologie in white. It is a profile that they carry in many different fabrics and colors. This is a wonderful wide leg white jean for the spring and summer. The Hudson Rosie High-Rise Wide Leg jean in blue and the Frame Le Slim Palazzo High Waist Wide Leg also in blue are other options of the wide leg jean. All of these washes would go well with grey.

Skirts
The skirts that we found all have a high waist and are denim -they can take you from spring into summer. The Good American Slit Front Midi is light bone denim and has a slight stretch to it. The Anthropologie Maeve Slim Scalloped Denim Skirt is in a dark wash and has a scalloped detail on the side seams. The Veronica Beard Victoria Denim Skirt is a medium wash, a bit of stretch and a raw hem. The high waist on all of these skirts lends itself to styling this with a grey sweater that has a thinner fabrication or a shorter waist. Pants
Dress pants are always easy to style with a great sweater. We are big fans of Spanx pants- the On The Go Slim Straight are Bev’s favorites and the Perfect Kick Flare Ponte are Val’s. Another great pant is the Banana Republic Lido Straight Italian Wool Pant in Black or Transition Cream White. Dresses
Wearing a sleeveless dress at this time of year with a sweater over it is a casual and functional look. We found the black Aritzia Tartlette – an A line scoop neck midi made from wrinkle resistant material. Blouses/Tops
A beautiful blouse looks great under so many of the sweaters we found. The Good American Good Shirt is one of our favorites. The J Crew Etienne Oversize Shirt in blue oxford styled with a crewneck and white jeans is perfect for early spring. We added an array of tops.
