Here we are with your August Favorites. We know it’s a bit late- we’ve both been spending time with our families and enjoying this fabulous weather. If you live in Michigan, you know this time of year is one of the best. It’s possibly our favorite.

Your August Favorites

Let’s check what were your August Favorites. It’s always fun to see what you liked. Both of us have always enjoyed the creative expression that comes from styling outfits.

We’ve heard from women- our friends and others, who are over 60 what a challenge shopping is. We aren’t stylists, however, we do in-depth research (in-person shopping and visiting many sites on-line). It’s our goal to share items that we love and think you would too. With that in mind, here is what your August Favorites were.

Accessories

This brand always has such a great selection of jewelry that ranges from everyday to statement pieces. The necklace is from Nest Jewelry- beautiful statement items too. Please check out the Shinery Radiance wash. It’s designed as a liquid hand soap that cleans your jewelry as well. It’s a wonderful gift idea for any women- think birthdays, thank you gifts, hostess gifts and stocking stuffers. – Yep we went there!

Unique Fall Selections

Isn’t this salad bowl and the serving set beautiful? What a nice gift this would be- to yourself as well. Both of these belts are perfect to wear now and into Fall. The suede and boho leather shades are so rich. All of these choices feel like autumn.

Denim & More

We were thrilled that you liked the Kate Shirt by Brochu Walker and the Lantern Sleeve Pearl Button Shirt by Karen Kane. The Kate Shirt is an investment piece and worth the price. If you are looking for a similar profile because you love the 3/4 length sleeve, the Karen Kane shirt is a great choice too. You can’t go wrong with either.

Now on to the great denim selections. Our post on Fall Denim Styles had a lot to choose from and you picked some of our favorites too. The Madewell Vintage Wide Leg and Jules Straight Leg are great choices. The Frame Le Slim Palazzo High Waist Wide Leg and Leopard Print are very current in the dark wash and the leopard print. Animal prints are always a classic.

Favorite Tops

Black | Maroon | Black Satin | Floral | Lace Sleeve

Beautiful choices from our August finds. The Whitney Top by Favorite Daughter is shown in black- click here for an olive green option too. The Mint Velvet top in Maroon is another winner. Both of these tops are perfect for this time of year- wear a current color with a sleeveless profile and you are comfortable when the temps rise a bit.

Satin is a fall favorite and this top is one way to add a bit to your closet. Right now this would look great with ecru denim, then when the temps cool off, under a blazer or jacket with the leopard print denim. The floral print blouse is in Bev’s cart and Val owns the lace cuff sweater. Val’s is on sale now- you might want to think about it.
