With Fourth of July falling where it does this year, it’s easy to enjoy a long weekend celebrating with family and friends. We are reminding you that it’s just around the corner. Being one of the country’s biggest celebrations, we thought some recipe ideas for breakfasts are in order- especially if you host a big gathering at your house. The breakfast ideas that we found range from simple and healthyish to heartier dishes. We included the healthier choices because let’s face it, if the rest of the day will be picnic food favorites of burgers and hot dogs, a lighter breakfast is a great start.

This is probably one of the easiest and incredibly delicious ways to impress your guests. If you are looking for a continental breakfast idea, try this. Fruit & Cheese Plate

Another idea for a continental style breakfast is creating your own Fruit & Cheese Plate. Arrange strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, baby swiss cheese squares, Triple Creme Brie and White Stilton Cheese with blueberries on a large platter. Serve with fresh baguette slices, pound cake and any breakfast muffins you’d like. Have fresh juice and coffee on hand.
